Margin Trek is a costing tool. Most of what you type never leaves your computer. This page explains exactly what we do collect, where it goes, and how to get rid of it.
1. Who we are
Margin Trek (“we”, “us”) is operated as a sole proprietorship by Mohammad Azeem, at Road No 18, Old Purulia Road, Zakirnagar, Mango, Jamshedpur, Jharkhand – 831012, India. For anything on this page, write to azeemdaniyal554@gmail.com.
Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 we are the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described below, and you are the Data Principal.
2. What we collect
Only what you deliberately type into a form. We do not ask for anything else.

3. What stays in your browser
The calculator saves your work locally so a refresh does not lose it. This uses your browser’s own storage. We cannot see any of it — it never reaches our servers, and clearing it is entirely in your hands.

None of this identifies you. There is no account and no sign-up — the calculator is open to anyone who visits.
Ratings and suggestions you leave in the feedback box are stored only on your device, anonymously. They are not transmitted to us at present.
An earlier version of this site briefly asked for contact details before showing the calculator. That step has been removed — the tool is now open to everyone. If you visited during that period your browser may still hold two leftover entries, margintrek.lead.v1 and margintrek_unlocked. Nothing writes to them any more, and the erase button below clears them.
4. Cookies
This site sets no cookies at all. There is no advertising network, no analytics package, no tracking pixel and no cross-site profiling. That is why you were not shown a cookie banner — there was nothing to consent to.
5. Who else sees your data
Formspree — receives and forwards what you submit through our forms. Their systems store the submission so it can be delivered to us.
Vercel — hosts the site and keeps standard server logs, including your IP address.
Google Fonts — the typefaces load from Google’s servers, so Google receives your IP address as part of that request.
Affiliate partners — if you click a gear link we may earn a commission. Once you land on their site, that retailer’s own privacy policy applies, not ours.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with anyone beyond the parties above.
6. How long we keep it
Enquiries and guide requests are kept for 24 months from your last contact with us, then deleted. Anything held in your own browser stays until you clear it.
7. Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you may ask us to:
tell you what personal data of yours we hold, and who we shared it with
correct anything inaccurate or incomplete
erase your data where we no longer need it
withdraw consent you previously gave — as easily as you gave it
nominate someone to exercise these rights if you die or become incapacitated
You do not need to ask us for this part. The button below permanently clears everything Margin Trek has stored in this browser — your figures, saved batches, feedback and unlock status. It cannot be undone, and it does not affect anything you have already submitted to us by form.
9. Affiliate links
Some gear links are affiliate links. If you buy through one, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. It never influences what we recommend, and we do not pass your personal data to those retailers — they only see that a visitor arrived from us.
10. Security
The site is served over HTTPS with a strict Content-Security-Policy, and it is not embeddable by other sites. No system is perfectly secure, but we do not hold payment details or passwords, which keeps the risk of a breach low.
11. Children
Margin Trek is a business tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us their details, contact us and we will delete them.
12. Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top. Material changes affecting how we use your data will be notified to you directly where we hold your contact details.
13. Grievances
